• Looking for answers? The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. 
  
• It consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith. 
  
• It is for everyone especially those wanting to investigate Christianity.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. People of all ages are welcome.

Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.

People meeting together. Sharing ideas and supper gives people an opportunity to get to know each other.

Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised in the talks. 

Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.

What's is a typical Alpha Evening?

6:00 - Supper is Served
6:30 - Welcome/Worship Time
6:45 - Lecture is Presented (Video Series with Nicky Gumbel)
7:30 - Coffee & Dessert
7:45 - Small Group Discussion
8:30 - Evening Concludes

What will it cost?

There is no charge for Alpha, although there is a basket to put money toward suppers and make a contribution toward the 'Day Away'. Books by Nicky Gumbel will be available for purchase and although they are recommended reading, there is no pressure to purchase them. We also provide a growing Alpha library where books can be borrowed for further study. 

When and where? 

New courses beginning September 24th with an orientation banquet at Hillside Baptist Church located at 2290 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB.  Date and time of the "Kick Off Banquet" is September 24th at 6:00 PM and the topic that night "Christianity, Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant?"

What resources are available for Alpha? 

Alpha is based on the exciting book Questions of Life. All sessions can be supported with audio or video talks by the author, Nicky Gumbel. Why Jesus? is a clear, challenging, short presentation of Jesus. Searching Issues answers the seven common objections to Christian faith. Nicky has also written A Life Worth Living, Challenging Lifestyles and The Heart of Revival for Christians who want to live and grow. And to help organize and run Alpha Telling Others explains how.
