Christ does not just call us to believe in Him but to belong to Him and His church. Maybe you have been attending Hillside for awhile and now consider it your spiritual home. You may be asking yourself about how can I take the next step and become a chuch member. We, at Hillside, welcome the growing number of people who are growing in their faith and wanting to join our fellowship. Membership for us is not just a matter of adding your name to a list, it's an expression of belonging. When people join the church, they are telling others they feel at home here and want to be a full participant in the life of the church. It's a positive way of saying, "You can count on me!" Or, "Yes, I want to share in the privileges and responsibilities of being part of the Family!" 

One word of warning: if you're looking for the perfect church, don't join Hillside! We know that we're not the perfect church. In fact, there is no such thing as a perfect church on earth. However, if you want to be part of what God is doing here then we urge you to consider becoming part of this fellowship. We are simply a group of people who are learning how to love God more and share His love with others. Our desire is to be what the Bible says of the church in 1 Pet. 3:8, "You should be like one big happy family, full of sympathy toward each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds". "What Are the Requirements?

The requirements for joining this church are as follows:

1. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord;
    
2. A symbolic demonstration of this relationship by a public profession of faith as a believer through baptism by immersion;
    
3. Attendance at a "Discovering Membership" offered quarterly by Pastor Reddy;
    
4. A willingness to assume the responsibilities of being a church member as outlined in our church covenant (covenant available through the church office)
    
5. An interview with our Pastor and two Deacons to encourage you and learn about your relationship with the Lord
    
6. The vote of approval by the church at a MidWeek Service
