Celebrate Recovery

MONDAY EVENINGS AT 6:30PM – EVERYONE IS WELCOME

2290 Mountain Road, Moncton

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a national, Christ-centered 12-step program designed to help us overcome any restorative challenge in our lives. Unlike traditional recovery programs that may focus on a single issue, CR is built on the actual words of Jesus found in the Beatitudes. We provide a safe, welcoming “hospital for the soul” where you can find community, spiritual growth, and freedom from hurts, habits and hang-ups.

Celebrate Recovery FAQs

Not at all. Celebrate Recovery is for *anyone* dealing with a “hurt, habit, or hang-up.” This includes anxiety, co-dependency, grief, divorce, eating disorders, or any life struggle that feels bigger than you. Only about 1 in 3 people in CR are there for chemical dependency. If you have a struggle, you belong here.

We value your courage. You’ll be greeted by friendly faces (never judged) and invited to join us for a large group session (worship and a teaching or testimony). Afterward, we move into gender-specific “Open Share” groups. You are never forced to speak, and you can stay as quiet as you’d like. And the evening finishes with fellowship – Homemade snacks, coffee, hot chocolate tea, water will be served.

Confidentiality is our “DNA.” We have a strict rule: *Who you see here and what you hear here, stays here.* We do not take attendance for the church office, and our leaders are trained to protect your privacy fiercely. Your “business” stays within the safety of the recovery room.

CR is completely free. There are no dues or fees to attend. You also don’t need to register or sign up in advance—you can just show up on any Monday night at 6:30 PM. We have an “open chair” waiting for you every single week.

Currently, we do not have childcare available, but we know how important this is for families. We are actively looking for volunteers who have a heart for recovery to help us launch a safe space for your kids. If you are interested in attending—or if you’d like to **serve** by helping us start a childcare program—please let us know! Your participation helps us grow toward making CR accessible for every parent.

We use this phrase because recovery is broader than most people think: Hurts: Emotional pain or trauma from your past or present (grief, divorce, abandonment, or abuse). Habits: Repetitive behaviours you struggle to stop (substance abuse, food issues, gambling, or technology addiction). Hang-ups: Internal mindsets or negative attitudes that keep you stuck (anger, anxiety, perfectionism, or the inability to forgive). If it’s affecting your peace or your relationships, it counts as a hurt, habit, or hang-up.

My name is Natacha Sochasky
I’m a grateful believer in Jesus Christ who celebrates recovery from an addiction to sleeping pills, emotional shopping and emotional eating. I’m currently working through menopausal mood swings, depression, my addiction to nicotine, learning to understand how the effects of childhood sexual abuse led me to a path of unhealthy sexuality, learning healthy coping mechanisms with the effects of physical and emotional domestic abuse, sleep anxiety and trauma triggers, codependency and many character defects.
