An afternoon conference intended to partner and encourage families. Home Point is a Hillside initiative that focuses on activating intentional families to be more purposeful in bringing faith conversations into their home at every stage.

Option 1 = Intentional Grandparenting

Family Centre, Main Level

Come enjoy some practical insights from newer and experienced grandparents that will encourage you in your important role as a grandparent. Grandparenting matters and our grandchildren need our loving and godly presence in their lives. Our time together will help us be more purposeful about the various ways we can be a positive influence with our grandkids.

Option 2 = Intentionality with Sons

Oh boys! They come in all shapes and sizes, with different sets of challenges and rewards. In this session, you’ll hear stories and insights from Brad and Jason‘s own personal experiences raising sons (Brad has 2 sons, Jason has 3 sons). When it comes to raising boys, being intentional has its rewards, and not being intentional has its consequences.

Option 3 = Intentional Family Beginnings

Spilled Milk, stained clothes, and emotional outbursts…….and that is just the parents! How can everyday moments be used as little faith building blocks along the way? If you are in this amazing phase of early parenting, we have a few wins and some fails to share.        

Option 4 = Intentional Teenagers

As parents, we all want to understand our teenager better. We also desire to see them succeed. Yet, where does faith come into this parenting process? Join Pastor Roger as he provides helpful, practical insights from decades of interacting with teenagers. Today is the day to begin being more intentional in your teenager’s faith journey.

Go with the flow or be intentional? There are different approaches within homes based on values. This session, hear from two different households on what is valued day in and day out.

Option 6 = Intentional Single Parenting and Blended Families

Single parenting and blended families come with their own unique blessings and challenges. Single parenting often means twice the work, with less hands and hearts to do the work. In blended families, two becoming one takes on a whole new meaning when two households of kids, routines, parenting roles, and even pets are all suppose to live harmoniously. How do we help each family member know they are loved and belong? How can you, your kids and your relationship flourish?
