CONNECT GROUPS

SENIORS – meets each Thursday morning from 9:30-11:00 in the Family Centre at Hillside for fellowship, Bible study, and fun. Takes a break for the summer months. Kick-off in early October. For more information, please contact Dave Steeves at dave@hillsidemoncton.org

THE MOM CAFÉ – a group for moms in every season to come together and fellowship. Bring your kids and let them play while you enjoy a coffee with some friends. PALs – Pretty Amazing LadieS – A lady’s group that meets the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month at 6:45pm in the cafe on the lower level. A chance to relax and enjoy food, fun and friends! As well, together the ladies discuss ways to deal with life from a Biblical perspective and periodically seek to contribute to meet a need that arises in our community. LAFF – Life After Fifty-Five – This crew meets the third Tuesday of the month at 12:30 pm in the Family Centre for an enjoyable afternoon with food and fellowship. WMS GROUPS – Women’s Missionary Society – Meets the second Tuesday of each month at Hillside. WMS groups desire to grow in their relationship with God through prayer, Bible study and participation in local and global mission opportunities.
1. Impacting Globally: Partnering with Canadian Baptist Ministries which has global field staff on five continents.
2. Impacting Locally: Partnering with several ministry programs and projects within the Atlantic Provinces.

AGONIA FITNESS (Starts Sept. 18, 2023) - Agonia incorporates various exercises and routines which include body weight exercises, gymnastic movements, Olympic weightlifting, and cardio. We want to help you develop a desire to exercise with like-minded people. The routines can be modified to any level of fitness to help you meet your goals and feel comfortable with the movements. HELP Ministry - NEW

The Care Ministry is excited to be able to offer help to Hillside widows and single moms by providing minor home repairs and maintenance services. This serve would occur once a month. If you are interested in being helped, sign up online or on the Connect Card with the word “help”; or if you are interested in serving on the Team, write ‘serve” on the Connect Card, and someone from the Team will be in touch with you.

DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 12-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. DivorceCare runs on Sunday afternoons starting February 4th at 2PM.

DivorceCare For Kids (DC4K) (ages 5-12) is also being offered.

Child care, ages 0-4 available for adults attending DivorceCare.

GriefShare

If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements: video seminar, support group & personal reflection. Meets Sunday afternoons starting September 10th with our friends at Moncton Wesleyan. Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a biblically-based, recovery program that addresses our Hurts, Hang-ups, and Habits using a 12-step approach based on the Beatitudes from the book of Matthew. CR leaders, understand your struggles, as they have experienced freedom from addictive and dysfunctional patterns in their own lives. They have been trained to guide people through the 12 Steps/8 Principles, and to provide a safe environment for accountability and building authentic relationships. Tuesday’s at 6:30 pm with our friends at Moncton Wesleyan.
